About the Department

The Department of Civil Engineering offers a vibrant environment of graduate, post graduate education and research, it was established in 2009 and is one of the earliest department in Mangalayatan University.

The Department has well qualified faculty members from distinguished Universities/Institutes and well equipped laboratories viz; Building material testing, Strength of materials, Soil mechanics, Transportation engg., Surveying & Geomatics, Geology, Concrete structures, Drawing & Estimation Engineering Lab etc. Despite being one of FET youngest department since it has one of the largest students base. The M. Tech. programme in Environmental Engg. has been commenced from the academic year 2015-16 & also Hydraulic Structures in 2019-20.

• To provide knowledge based consultancy services to the community in the areas of civil engineering.
• To create a spirit of involvement in research by developing center of excellence in the field of civil engineering and allied research by long term interaction with industry.
