It also includes training in news reporting, gathering, editing, and presentation across different media platforms. Various forms of writing for the media are taught during the course. These writings include news writing, feature writing, opinion pieces, and scripting for radio and television. Some programs offer elective or specialization courses such as broadcast journalism, print journalism, digital media, advertising, or public relations.
BJMC Course Eligibility Criteria
- The students should have completed class 12 from a recognized board on any stream.
- A minimum of 50% is required in class 12.
- Most universities or institutes conduct entrance exams for admission. The students need to clear the entrance exam for admission.
Bachelor of Arts Journalism & Mass Communication ( BJMC ) Course Duration:
BA Journalism and Mass Communication Course can be pursued for three years. It is divided into six semesters. The focus is on media journalism, concerns, research, mass media communication, etc.
- Practical as well as theoretical training along with various workshops are conducted.
- Internship with media organizations, advertising agencies, public relations firms, etc is a mandatory part of the course.
- The students need to complete projects, assignments, and presentations.
